Chinese Burger
This “Chinese Hamburger” is something that grabbed my attention online and I had to give it a crack. Tender meat, quickly stir fried in lots of spiced with a little green capsicum between two fresh buns and it was delicious. These 肉夹馍 would go perfectly with a cold beer.
Ingredients
- 700g rump cap, trimmed and thinly sliced
- 3 spring onions, finely sliced
- 1 green capsicum, sliced
- 2 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 tbs Chinese red pepper powder
- 2 tbs ground cumin
- 1 tsp msg
- 2 white hamburger rolls
Method
- Get the wok fired up nice and HOT. Carefully add in your oil and then the sliced beef, toss well to start the stir fry process.
- Next, add spring onion and capsicum along with the spices and MSG. Toss well to coat and cook until meat is just tender.
- Fill your buns with the mix and enjoy!
Notes
White hamburger rolls: there are some great traditional recipes for making the classic laminated buns online, like The Mala Market.
